More than 1 300 programs taught in English in France ! [fr]
Since 2004, the number of programs taught in English, referenced online by Campus France, has been multiplied by a factor of five: more than 1,300 programs are now taught in English in France, including more than 500 programs recognized by the French government. These programs are open in particular for international students who do not speak French well enough to be able to follow courses in France in that language.
237 higher education institutions, including 130 public institutions, contribute to the online catalogue. Since 2013, there has been a strong increase in the number of programs taught in English in public institutions (universities, ENS, IEP, IAE, INP, etc.): they offer about 50% of all courses in English (40% for universities only). With 163 programs in English, Paris-Saclay is by far the first university to offer programs in English. It is followed by SKEMA Business School (29 programs), Grenoble Ecole de Management (27), the Institut de préparation à l’ administration et à la gestion (25) and Sciences Po (25).
Among the 1300 programs, more than 75% of the programs are taught entirely in English, including 160 short programs and Summer schools.
Nearly 80% of the programs offered are at Master’s level. They cover the main fields of study:
500 training courses in Business Management,
380 programs in Engineering and Technology,
300 training courses in Science, Environment, Health Science,
Approximately 100 programs in Humanities, Languages, Literature
70 training courses in Architecture, Arts, Design and Fashion
